This is the registration page for the COT-INTIMATE-THM 2024 International Conference on Tephra: Chronology, Stratigraphy, Hazards, and Climate.

Registration will remain open until capacity is reached (125 attendees). Please be aware that to complete your registration you will be required to indicate your attendance (or not) to a post-conference field trip and the closing dinner.

General registration (€400 full; €275 students and early-career) includes the icebreaker, coffee breaks during presentation days, lunches, and the mid-conference field trip.

The closing dinner (€35) and post-conference field trips (€475 or €200) will be additions to the general registration fee.

4. The full registration for COT-INTIMATE-THM 2024 is €400, or €275 for early career researchers (ECR; including students). If registering as an ECR, you must provide your current degree program and institution, or the date and location of last degree. If you are 8 or more years past completion of your last degree, please note why you may still be considered an eligible ECR (e.g. maternity). If you are not authorised for the ECR subsidy your registration will not be accepted. *

Post-conference field trips

There are two post-conference trips available for those interested in exploring the amazing landscapes of Sicily and nearby volcanic islands. For the finer details and itineraries please visit https://cot.iavceivolcano.org/cot-intimate-thm-2024-catania/.

Registration for the respective post-conference field trips will remain open until capacity (below) is reached.

10. I would like to attend the following trip.

The Sicily tour (€200; Sept. 13–15): Three day-trips based out of Catania: Etna, tectonics, and Plio-Pleistocene boundary. Limited to 50 attendees. - 200 €
Aeolian Islands (€475; Sept. 13–16): Explore the tephrochronology and explosive volcanism of the Aeolian Islands. Limited to 21 attendees. - 475 €
I do not plan on attending a post-conference field trip. - 0 €

Should your preferred field trip no longer have capacity at the time of registration, please email the respective trip coordinator (below) to be placed on a waiting list in the event of a participant cancellation.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

IAVCEI membership fees are non-refundable
Registration fees for COT-INTIMATE-THM 2024 are non-refundable.
Registration fees for COT-INTIMATE-THM 2024 Post-conference field trips are non-refundable. However, registration can be transferred to another participant if one is available. Please contact the trip leader to facilitate this.
